Christmas Message of Bishop Dewane

Around the world Christians today celebrate the birth of Christ, our Messiah. This newborn is the Child Jesus – born in a humble manger and sent by God as His gift to us. Christ is the gift of hope, joy and love that comes to the world through our knowing and following Him. Just as Mary and Joseph had to flee to save their young baby, many of our brothers and sisters today continue to experience fear, violence and displacement in and outside their native countries. This is particularly true in the Holy Land where Jesus lived and walked. Let the newborn Christ child be the light of hope for us and for all who suffer religious persecution around the world. May the grace and peace of Our Savior be with you and your family this Christmas Season. Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
