FORT PIERCE | A Jan. 16 Mass to kick off St. Anastasia’s 100-year anniversary drew faithful who have ties to the parish stemming all the way back to the 1930s.

“We had a little band and I played the saxophone,” recalled Charles Bloehm, 91, a former St. Anastasia student from the class of 1937. “There were six in our class,” he said. “Half are gone. The parish and school were small and everyone knew everyone.”

This month, St. Anastasia begins a joyous yearlong celebration focused on community, faith, family, history and education. Activities are also held with the purpose of bringing families together. MORE...
