Pro–life activities for Respect Life Month 2009Posted: 09.17.09 Rosary prayer service: Thursday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m., St. Helen Parish, 2000 20th St., Vero Beach. FACE Life, a pro-life organization in West Palm Beach whose acronym stands for Faith, Action, Counseling and Education for Life, is organizing prayer gatherings at the Presidential Women’s Center, 100 Northpoint Parkway, West Palm Beach. Faithful are asked to make a weekly commitment to pray near the sidewalk across the street from the center that offers abortion services. According to organizers, Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito plans to lead prayer Monday, Oct. 5, at noon. Priests of the diocese of Palm Beach will be on hand. Walk for the unborn: Saturday, Oct. 10, 8:30 a.m. Mass, followed by walkathon from 9 a.m. to noon, Emmanuel Parish, 15700 Military Trail, Delray Beach. Donations raised will benefit Birthline/Lifeline, a Catholic Charities-supported mission reaching out to pregnant women and dedicated to protecting the unborn and saving babies. All are encouraged to participate to raise funds for Birthline/Lifeline and to bring awareness of the organization’s services and the pro-life mission.
