The songs were intended to remind everyone the school is a community of cultures, united in the love of Christ. The students prepared for the day by studying other countries and cultures. They not only prepared reports and display boards, but also brought costumes and foods to share. After Mass, everyone gathered at the parish community center to enjoy entertainment and view the student projects. Following lunch, parents helped the students make crafts based on designs from around the world. Phelan is director of development for St. John Vianney Catholic School.
