The supernatural rosary

October 7, 2009

You’ve got to admit, it’s hard not to become lured in by the mysteries of the unknown. For years now, novelists and directors have been flooding our society with storylines based on fantasy, science fiction and obscure conspiracy theory. And many of the top-rated television shows in our era have been based on occult practices. If it’s so easy to become lured in by such frivolous entertainment, then why is it so hard for us to become intrigued by the true power of Jesus Christ?

With October being the Month of the Rosary, there is no better time to explore the supernatural graces readily available through this sacred devotion. For example, did you know that “signal graces” are promised to those devoted to praying the rosary? If you are not familiar with this phrase, a signal grace is just another way of saying “a sign sent from God.” Yes, that’s right - a sign from God.

For those lacking in faith, a signal grace whether it is subtle or direct goes a very long way. You see, unlike television sitcoms or commercial entertainment, signal graces are very much real. Instead of false hope or misleading guides, signal graces are true gifts from God. There are many times when all we need is just a little bit of hope or perhaps just a small confirmation that we are not alone in our daily struggles. Fortunately for those praying the rosary, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, this is exactly what we get in a signal grace.

During this Month of the Rosary, try giving rosary prayer and meditation a chance. The supernatural power of the rosary goes far beyond this short article, so I encourage you to pray and experience the extraordinary benefits for yourself.
